Why is backing a 1.20 favourite on match result rarely worth it even when they almost always win?
At 1.20 you risk R100 to make R20, so you need that pick to land roughly five times out of six just to break even — and rugby throws up enough upsets, weather games and rotated sides that the real strike rate often falls short of what the price demands.
