Games Handicap
The games handicap is where tennis betting gets sharper. When the straight match winner on a clear favourite is too short to be worth a stake, Scorebet hangs a games line on the match instead — a virtual start for the underdog and a deficit for the favourite — and you bet on the adjusted game count rather than the raw result.
Back a player at +0.5 and they’re covered if they draw or win the game count; back the other at -0.5 and they have to win the games outright. Scorebet runs the same idea at two grains: Handicap Games across the whole match, and 1st Set Games Handicap on just the opening set for a faster result. Half-point lines mean there’s no tie — every handicap bet either wins or loses.
The whole craft is reading the true gap against the line. A favourite who tends to win tight, on serve, might take the match but fail to cover a wide line. When you’d rather bet on the length of the match than who covers it, step across to total games.

Open a tennis fixture on Scorebet and tap the Handicap tab. You'll see Handicap Games (whole match) and 1st Set Games Handicap (set level).

A +0.5 gives that player half a game start, so a drawn game count still wins. A -0.5 means they must win by at least one game more than the line.

Tap the handicap odds you want — the button turns yellow and the pick lands in your Betting Slip.

Handicap bets trim the risk on a heavy favourite. Backing a strong player on a minus line gives you a better price than the short straight winner.
The skill isn't picking the winner — it's judging whether the favourite covers the games line. A player who closes out a tight match can win it but still fail to cover a -2.5.
